Group Therapy & Life Integration

You don't have to do this alone

A rolling, ongoing group for anyone wanting support to process life experiences, build emotional regulation and coping skills, and connect with others in a warm group setting. It is open to everyone, and is also a welcoming option for people integrating a significant personal experience.

This is a community space, not a medical procedure. It is a warm room, a small circle of people, and time set aside to reflect together.

What to expect

Guided by a steady, experienced hand

The group is facilitated by Reece Flowers, a registered psychologist, in a small group setting. Sessions centre on shared reflection, practical psychological skills, and connection with others who understand.

The group does not replace individual clinical care. It offers structured reflection, shared humanity and practical skills, and it is the most cost effective way to access ongoing therapeutic support.

A small, familiar group

Groups are kept small so people can get to know each other properly. Sessions circle around shared reflection: what's been happening, what's shifting, what's hard.

Practical psychological skills

Each gathering includes a grounded, practical focus: skills for emotional regulation, coping and wellbeing that you can carry into work, relationships and everyday life.

Where understanding and accountability meet

There is a particular kind of relief in sitting with others who understand what it is to struggle and grow. Connection with people who simply get it is a large part of what the group offers.

What we sit with

Experience, Reflect, Learn, Enact

This framework forms the basis for transforming the varied experiences of our lives into fuel for sustainable personal growth towards the type of lives we want to live.

Across the course, the group returns to a handful of themes, not as a curriculum to complete, but as touchstones for the work each person brings.

How the programme runs

The programme runs as a ten-session course, offered on a rolling basis so there is usually a group either beginning or continuing. Sessions are held in person at our Brighton East space.

Ten sessions

The programme runs as a ten-session course, with each session long enough to settle in, share and close gently.

A familiar circle

You enrol into a group and stay with that same group for the full course, so trust can build week by week.

Medicare-subsidised

The group programme is Medicare-subsidised, which makes it a more accessible way to keep working.

One simple fee

A single one-off enrolment fee covers the full ten-week course, there is nothing to pay per session.

Programme fee

The full fee for our 10 session Group Therapy programme is $580. As this programme is delivered under Medicare's Better Access initiative, eligible clients can access a Medicare rebate that reduces this to a one off payment of just $327.50 for the full 10 week course.

A note on the enrolment commitment

When you enrol, your one-off fee secures your place in the group for the full ten weeks, and the fee is non-refundable. We want to be upfront about that, because it isn't a cancellation policy for its own sake, group work builds on itself and every absence to class is a space that someone else in need could have filled. The circle that forms in week one is the circle that does the work in week ten, and knowing everyone will be there is part of what lets people open up. Committing to the full course is a way of committing to yourself and the rest of the group at the same time.

If you're unsure whether the timing is right for you, it's completely fine to ask us first, we'd rather you join when you can genuinely see it through.
